It doesn’t matter when this thought or feeling comes to you, whether waking up one day or at the end of yet another day. It is the uncomfortable moment when you think or feel that life as you know it sucks. What then are you willing to believe and to do to change that? Or
It is still this morning. No breeze stirring the trees. Sun just rising over the mountains. A few birds signaling each other and their presence. A time to center, to focus, to look in, and out. Grateful for a peaceful start to this day. Decisions can wait for now while I contemplate Another new day.
Most people cannot project with much clarity or certainty what their future is going to be like without work, without a job, although many dream of that day. The big exception is people who through no fault of theirs, lose their job. Some make it, some don’t, but that is not what this is about.
From the original “holy days” and retaining The meaning of holy which is “set apart.” Each holiday is apart from the others that remain Ordinary and routine, while the holiday is imbued with Special meaning and some kind of elegant celebration. These are days that give homage to Light, to beliefs, to beginnings and endings.
I watched a very large tree swaying in the wind and these thoughts came to me in a morning meditation. Work with the forces that seek to move you. Adapt and adjust so that you do not break because you are too rigid. Be flexible and move in several different directions, back and forth, up
I want to begin within the context of enormous gratitude for competent and caring physicians, nurses and technicians from so many medical practices and hospitals. These dedicated practitioners serve their patients and communities with high level, quality service. That said I want also to register concern about medical practitioners being held hostage by insurance companies
